SMILE
Smile at everyone you meet.
Smiling is the simplest and most wonderful way to create positive change.
It is a simple message but is not a small thing. It is one of the biggest gifts we can give another.
Smiles change the world around us. One person at a time.
Or perhaps it would be better to say two people at a time.
When we smile at someone we lift them out of their moment into a higher vibration, and we lift ourselves as well. A smile awakens and brings out our inner light, and allow that brightness to shine all around us. We are able to instantly connect with total strangers in a language that is universal to everyone. It is beyond words, beyond conversation. We simply connect one on one, soul to soul.
A smile warms our hearts and clears our minds for a moment. Everything we thought falls away and we shine and are happy. When we smile at someone we are telling them that they are wonderful how ever they are. We simply honor them and accept them. With a smile the illusions of this world dissolve. It doesn't matter what we look like, our age, our class, our color, our hardships, our troubles, our blessings, our accomplishments, our failures all vanish in the moment. Our worries of tomorrow don't count, our wrestling with yesterday unimportant. For a moment we simply connect soul to soul and get to be simply Us. Nothing else. The moment may be only a second. One speck in our entire day. But for that moment everything is fine.
And we may find it lasts longer than just that moment. It often makes us feel good for an hour, a morning, a day. We never know where a simple smile can lead. The person you smile at may not have anyone else smile at them today. You could be the high point of their day. Just you. A total stranger. An elderly lady in a grocery store parking lot may have almost no contact with people today but your simple smile warmed her heart and it made her feel good all day. The person you just passed may have been fired or laid off. And even though they didn't know how to return your smile in that moment, it goes in somewhere and may help them. It could give them the little boost they need to know that somehow all will be fine. With that brief encounter they may feel a spark inside that lifts them up to finding a more fitting job that turns their life around. Even if they don't smile back it soaks in. The brain doesn't miss these things. It all adds up. A simple smile may show a child that there are nice strangers in the world. That not all adults ignore kids. They may decide to become a teacher or choose a career of helping others simply by that one smile given at the right moment. Often we find that something really simple led to some of our best changes in our lives. What a gift you can give to others.
The more we all realizes it's OK to reach out and smile the more we connect, and the more our hearts open up. We bring the world closer together. We learn that we no longer need to seek comfort through outward similarities. We don't fear those that are different and feel comfort in those most like us. We instead realize comfort in our true inner spirits, our unity within. And with that our differences on the outside become what they truly are ... our unique, fun, creative expressions of life that we can all celebrate. When we smile with people from other cultures or see photo's or videos of folks smiling in other countries we immediately connect and realize they aren't that different. Inside we are all one people sharing this planet. It brings us all closer together and leads to peace and love, that space where we can work together and solve all our problems.
So the question that you might ask is ... what about those who look away or frown? I would suggest that we'll be just fine. We're not here to judge others and don't need to be attached to the outcome of our good actions. It always goes in somewhere. And if they truly deflect our good energies it will fall on others nearby who may have seen you smile and it touches them. And perhaps the 20th person in a day that smiles on them will break through the shell of fear and hurt and help them open up. It's all good. The universe doesn't waste good energies and intent.
So be bold and brave and start Smiling at Everyone you meet.
Help change the world!
Even if it's only one person at a time.
P.S.
And later on when you've got that mastered
you can go a step further.....
